Abstract: Despite of all knowledge about reliability engineering as well as software tools develop in the last 10 years to perform proper reliability analysis, still the same mistakes has been occurring in different projects concerning reliability analysis. Specially in Quantitative methods such as Lifetime Data Analysis, RAM analysis, Reliability Growth Analysis a lot of misunderstanding and misuse of correct terms has been taking place in many projects during design in the Railway industry as well as others industries. This papers aims to clarify the 10 most common mistakes that reliability engineers can not do when performing reliability analysis:
Key Words: MTTF, Reliability, Operational availability, Life cycle cost, QALT, HALT
