He is an Functional Safety Expert and Assessor for the Automotive industry with more than 30 years experience in the Automotive and railway industry.
He performed several Automotive System Product Safety Audits and Assessments in safety relevant projects (DAS, BMS and BCM’s) according to ISO26262, including confirmation reviews for ASIL (up to D) related projects. He also developed embedded Software design of Transmission and/or Engine Management System, making interface among others Design Centers and customers. He developed the design and validation of ECU’s, sensors and actuators, Flex Fuel Calibration, supporting basic engine design adaptation to meet ethanol requirements for two engines 1.5L 4 cylinders 8V and 1.0L 3 cylinders 6V ethanol/gasoline, Responsible of calibration of engine dynamometer until release, passing by complete vehicle calibration development, Powertrain System and Software, Flex Fuel Ethanol Sensor,
In addition, he performed System, Software, Hardware and Test to ensure the compliance of ASIC development documentation required as per ISO26262. He Head Coach Project Management of Embedded System & Software Development Team in charge to build basic Embedded Software platform for several product lines. Coaching Electronic Power Steering System projects (ISO26262 ASIL D compliance). He coached and delivered training of automotive HW and SW, Powertrain/Hybridization. and Infotainment/Connectivity/Mobility. He leads the interface among others Design Centers and customers' requirements development and innovations for scoped as Engineering Group Manager the Automotive System & Software development and integration to ensure the requirements development and innovations for scope, performance, cost, quality, and timing.
In the railway industry, Mr Clemente performed the full design of application software for Train Maintenance/Repair based on Asynchronous Communication and Proprietary Protocols exchanging data with standard PC drivers, Fail Safe Software (FIRMWARE) development for Subway Train Control and Locomotives (ATC -Automatic Train Control), Development of Fail-Safe features like Advanced Control for Doors Opening, Automatic Train Stop in platforms among many others for SP Metropolitan Train Control. He was full responsible for Field Test, Commissioning and Assisted Operation of Brasilia Metropolitan Subway System. SW development tests activities for Locomotive Train Control (ATCL).
